Halloween fun lined up for Shropshire youngsters with Crossbar holiday clubs
Shropshire youngsters are looking forward to a half-term treat at Halloween-themed holiday clubs organised by an established county sports coaching company.
Crossbar Coaching Education in Sport will be running action-packed holiday clubs at nine county primary schools, and also offering a dance camp and soccer school at Shrewsbury’s London Road Sports Centre, between Monday, October 26 and Friday, October 30.
Early booking is recommended as numbers are limited, with all of the clubs open to boys and girls aged between four and 11.
Luke Hughes, Crossbar’s holiday club co-ordinator, said: “Halloween is always a really popular week with the children as they love getting involved with all the different activities.
“There will be lots of sports games with a Halloween twist, it will be the same with arts and crafts, and there will also be a Halloween party.
“It’s a week we always look forward to as the children have a lot of fun while also having the opportunity to stay active.”
He added: “We had a really successful summer of holiday courses around the county, with lots of positive feedback from parents about how well everything was organised in making the clubs a safe environment.
“It was nice that we were able to bring back a sense of some normality for the children.
“Many of the courses we offered during the summer were full, so we would advise early booking this time as spaces are limited as we continue to closely follow the government guidelines with social distancing and the other safety measures we have in place.”
Shrewsbury’s London Road Centre will be the venue for the always popular dance camp and soccer school, with a multi-sports course running at Pontesbury Primary School.
Holiday clubs will take place at Telford schools Lawley, Old Park, Randlay and Redhill, and in Shrewsbury at Greenfields, Radbrook and St Georges, as well as Broseley C of E Primary School.
Clubs will run from 8.30am to 4pm and cost £15 per day to attend. Bookings can be made via Crossbar’s online booking system at crossbarcoaching.schoolipal.co.uk
