Rediscover a sense of adventure at Shropshire’s £6.5m glamping resort
Would-be adventurers can rediscover their wild sides by ditching their phones for the great outdoors at a Shropshire resort.
Water sports including kayaking, den building, survival skills and other adventure experiences are available to try at Salop Leisure’s £6.5 million Love2Stay glamping and caravan resort at Emstrey, Shrewsbury.
Chris Skitt, who leads the health, wellness and adventure activity services, is encouraging people of all ages to spend less time looking at their phones to enjoy the wide range of activities on offer.
Chris said: “There’s so much going on at the park and we have brilliant facilities. We want to encourage the local community to come along and see what’s on offer here. We can show them there is so much more to do than be on x-boxes, play stations and iphones.
“It’s about putting the devices down and coming to experience our unbelievable outdoor facilities and exciting range of activities.
“We have everything from raft building, paddleboarding and kayaking, all the way through to knot making, survival skills and woodland school.”
Love2Stay’s other facilities include an assault course, adventure playground and natural swimming pool while there is also the opportunity for visitors to give archery a go.
Chris added: “It’s almost bringing it back to when people were much younger and used to spend hours outside. I think the youth of today has started to maybe go away from that because of the access of devices.
“We want to really champion the unbelievable facilities that we have.
“The activities we run are geared for aged eight upwards. We offer children’s parties but can accommodate people of any age while we also run group activities for adults.”
